Recently moved to a new role at Wah Kwong’s office in London. A keen golfer that has been playing in Baltic events for a number of years.
He is currently playing off a handicap of 20 at Grim’s Dyke G.C.
James Pendered

Retired from his last role managing the Indices at the Baltic Exchange in 2020. Was playing regularly at his home club of Moor Park off a handicap of 13.5 until May 2024. Was the Gold Cup winner in 2000 and Society Captain in 2005 & 2013. Now moved to North Devon where he has joined the epic Saunton golf club.
Elected Honorary Secretary in 2019.
Chris Cox
Hon Treasurer
Retired from competitive shipbroking in 2021. Regular player in BEGS matches & meetings playing off a steady 18 handicap. Society captain in 2003, 2004 & 2014. For the last 11 years has managed the Summer meeting @ Thorpeness and introduced BEGS to Princes for the Sandwich Challenge now in its 5th year.
Elected Honorary Treasurer in 2007.
Robert Gemmell
President
Having been retired for some years, Robert keeps his game sharp playing at Surbiton golf club. He continues to play in many matches and meetings, off his 14.5 handicap. Winner of the Gold Cup in 2009 and Society captain in 2016 & 2017.
Elected President in 2021
